Hamas seems to be quite upbeat about its resistance to Israeli strikes in Gaza. Hamas’ political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, made big claims during talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister. Haniyeh said resistance stands strong and resolute, as Israel is ready for a ceasefire. He claimed that the IDF thought that it could force Hamas fighters to surrender but failed to do so. The statement comes as Israel proposes a week-long ceasefire in exchange for 40 hostages. Hamas leader Haniyeh is in Egypt for talks on a new Gaza truce offer by Israel.
