Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, a senior Pakistani Islamist politician, has accused India’s PM Narendra Modi of abandoning the country’s traditional position on Palestine as he equated the struggle of Palestinians to India’s struggle for freedom against British. Rehman, who heads Jamiat-e-Ulama Pakistan recently met with Hamas leadership in Doha and pledged his support to their war against Israel. He also likened the issue of Al-Aqsa Mosque to Babri Masjid.
