Trudeau Pokes India After PM Modi’s First Comments On U.S.’ Pannun Plot | ‘India Realised…’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that relations with India recently underwent a “tonal shift”. The change, Trudeau claimed, came after the United States linked an Indian man to the failed assassination attempt of separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. “There’s an understanding that maybe, maybe just churning out attacks against Canada isn’t going to make this problem go away,” Trudeau said. The Canadian PM in September 2023 linked India to the assassination of Khalistani radical leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, but has so far failed to back the claims with evidence.
