Putin’s Stand On Hamas War Offends Israel; ‘Russia Should Take More Balanced Position On Gaza’

Israel is reportedly upset with Russia’s stand over Hamas-sparked war in Gaza. As per the Times Of Israel, a diplomat had a conversation with a Russian official to express Jerusalem’s “displeasure with the role Russia is playing” in the war against Hamas, and to stress Israel’s hope that Moscow will take “more balanced” positions. However, the Kremlin brushed off the report and reiterated its call for both sides to agree a ceasefire. “Russia’s position is very consistent, it has been repeatedly expressed by President (Vladimir) Putin – we condemn all manifestations of terrorism, we extend condolences to all the relatives and families of the victims,” said Dmitry Peskov.
