On Telephone, U.S.’ Blinken Gets A Big Warning From Oil-rich Muslim Ally; ‘Do Not Attack Iraq…’

Iraq warned U.S. against any attacks on Iraqi territory amid tensions over Gaza war. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani said although he wants safety of international coalition advisers in his country but advised the United States against any attacks on Iraqi territory. Last month, U.S. fighter jets struck two targets and killed nine Iran-linked anti-U.S. Shia militants. The Iraqi militia fighters have carried out scores of attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria in response to Israel’s war on Gaza and the Washington’s Support to Tel Aviv.
