Israel lost 15 of its soldiers in fighting with Hamas inside Gaza strip with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledging what he termed “painful losses” to the Israelis. The fighting in Gaza has intensified since Israeli ground forces entered the Hamas-ruled enclave. Israel has said that dozens of Hamas fighters have been killed in the clashes.
