Israeli Warships Storm Red Sea Despite Threat From Iran-backed Houthis, Missile Attacks

Israel has deployed a new warship in the Red Sea amid increasing attacks by Yemen-based and Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The fourth and final Sa’ar 6-class corvette is now operational, more than two years after delivery. Each nearly 2,000-ton ship is outfitted with 20 systems, 18 of which are Israeli-made, including a modified version of Iron Dome system, Gabriel V and LRAD missile systems. The deployment comes a day after a Norwegian tanker was attacked with missiles by the Houthis.
