Ireland’s Prime Minister has defended his remarks, about a hostage released by Hamas on November 26, that had angered Israel. Leo Varadkar told the BBC that majority of the people know what he meant when he said that the nine-year-old Emily Hand was “lost and found and now returned.” He further said that Israel had also summoned envoys of Spain and Belgium and that all three will be happy to explain their countries’ position on the conflict.
